Kurtz Miller
In 1973, Kurtz discovered both Eureka Springs and a passion for scrimshaw. A traditional seaman's art, scrimshaw originated aboard sailing vessels of yore, sail needles were used to etch seafaring scenes on whale's teeth, bone and hard materials like oak wood.
Kurtz creates his intricate etchings on ancient mammoth ivory and other media and enjoys an enthusiastic fan base devoted to his medieval reenactments. Kurtz Miller has pieces available at the studio and also on a custom basis. Including exquisitely detailed knives, jewelry, and black powder accessories
And as true traditionalist the best way to view is work Kurtz is to visit him in his studio, he's there most afternoons.
